Greg Faith

Greg leads Verbio's ethanol and renewable natural gas biorefinery in Nevada, Iowa, and is responsible for managing plant costs, reliability, quality and maintenance. Greg is an accomplished chemical engineer with 25 years of experience in agricultural processes in the areas of operations leadership, process engineering, project management, and product development. Greg joined Verbio in 2019 and has extensive background providing leadership and technical direction to teams in development and optimization of production plants, including startup activities. Greg's academic background includes a BS (chemical engineering) from Iowa State University and an MBA from Bellevue University.

Ken Hunt

Ken leads Verbio's Agronomy Operations team in Nevada, Iowa. He is responsible for operations costs in acquiring, harvesting, and storing of the stover bales. His team will also sell humus as a co-product of RNG production, then ship, and apply it to local farms.  Ken has an extensive background in operations and agriculture including process engineering, project management, and product development. Ken joined Verbio in 2023. He enjoys being part of a team and thrives in challenging work environments.

Makenna Smith

Makenna Smith’s main goal as a Verbio Sales Agronomist is to grow business relationships with our local growers and strive to put her best foot forward every day for the grower. Makenna grew up in Northwest Iowa in the small town of Moville. She attended Iowa State University, where she graduated with a degree in Agronomy. Michael Fritch

Michael has been involved in agriculture all his life. He grew up on a family farm in central Iowa outside of Mitchellville. He is passionate about helping agriculture become as sustainable and profitable as possible, all while being environmentally friendly. Michael attended Iowa State University, where he graduated with a degree in Agronomy. His experience has included managing his family´s fourth generation farm, helping Heartland Coop form its conservation agronomy team, and working with TruTerra to help its ag retailers find funding to form conservation agronomy positions. Gene Flynn

Verbio’s mission of renewable, sustainable energy fit right in with the career interests of our Agronomy Sales Representative, Gene Flynn. Gene has farmed for over 20 years and can always be found outdoors enjoying various country and outdoor activities such as gardening, hunting and riding his motorcycle when he is not in the fields. He enjoys visiting with our local growers and thrives on the interactions he gets to do daily with different farm operations. Tony Hoskins

Tony enjoys assisting producers with their grain marketing needs and has 20 plus years of experience in grain merchandising and origination. He has a background in Agricultural Economics and holds a B.S. degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Nebraska. He has worked for several Cooperatives and major grain companies including Scoular and Cargill. When not working on grain procurement, Tony can be found on the lake fishing or working in his shop on various projects. Contact him for all questions regarding grain.
