Ethanol

Verbio has converted the Nevada plant into a fully operating biorefinery, integrating both Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and ethanol production. Phase II of Verbio’s strategic plan was completed in August 2024, marking another milestone for the company.

In addition to the bioethanol and RNG produced, we return high-quality co-products to local growers. This sustainable closed-loop production system enables us to offer humus, two different organic soil amendments, as well as corn oil. Our goal is to create added value for the region.

The plant has a total production capacity of 19 million ethanol gallons equivalent (EGE) of RNG and 60 million gallons of corn-based ethanol. We are proud to source all feedstock annually from local growers.

The expansion included additional fermentation tanks, new equipment, a corn unloading facility, and silo storage, and created approximately 50 full-time jobs.
