Verbio is taking the next step of their strategic plan. In addition to the biomethane produced, Verbio progresses towards the production of ethanol. In this second phase, we purchase corn as the feedstock from our local growers surrounding our biorefinery facilities.
Verbio is proud to sell back the co-products of this process – corn oil, humus and liquid fertilizers. The Verbio ethanol set up is unique to our brand, utilizing the stillage of the ethanol production to make additional RNG. Operations are expected to commence in the 4th quarter of 2023 with an installed capacity to produce 60 million gallons of corn-based ethanol annually and 19 million ethanol gallons equivalent of RNG at the Nevada, Iowa location.
